Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Your Account

How to enable 2FA (2-factor authentication) for added security to your MXT account

Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your MXT account by requiring a second verification step when you log in.

You can choose to receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS text message to your registered mobile number or use an authenticator app of your choice to generate your authentication code.

Note: If you choose SMS authentication, ensure your registered mobile number is up to date. You can update your mobile number by navigating to Contact Information in MXT.

To Enable 2FA:

1. Log in to MXT and click the cog icon in the top-right corner to access Settings.

2. Under Settings, select Security.

3. Locate the two-factor authentication settings and choose your preferred authentication method:

  • Authenticator App: Use an authenticator app of your choice to generate verification codes.
  • Text Message Authentication: Receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS to your registered mobile number.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your chosen authentication method.

5. Complete the verification process to activate 2FA for your account.
